26 Feb: Entry Update

As you will be aware our deadline for entries was 4pm yesterday. As can be expected, the Committee is presently receiving a large number of entries, payments, questions and problems via email, mail, phone and other means.

We ask that you be patient when expecting a response to your query or confirmation of your entry. It may take up to 72 hours to receive a response. We hope to have processed and contacted all teams and coaches by the end of this weekend.

If you do not hear from us in the next few days do not be concerned; but if you have not heard from us by the start of school on Monday 2 March then please get back in touch with us to confirm we have received your entry.

In answer to the most common questions:

1) If your entry arrives late it may still be accepted. We need it in our hands before midday Saturday, so please email it in as soon as possible. Links to Microsoft Word versions of our entry form can be found in the news post below this one.

2) If your payment is late we will still process your entry. Unpaid teams will be entered into, and allowed to debate in, Round One. If we have not received your payment by the end of Round One your team will not be placed on the draw for Round Two.

3) Speaker names can be modified later in the competition by notice to the Committee. Teams must not exceed the 'speaker maximum' for their grade. A speaker is counted towards the maximum when they debate and not simply because their name is on the entry form.

4) Some grades may have capacity for extra teams (such as the Premier Grades). Any such capacity will be announced early next week.

Thank your for your entries, patience and continued support.
