The ASD Commitee has been working hard over the summer break to prepare for the 2009 competition!
At the end of 2008 we farewelled three Committee members - Nikki Bentley, Akif Malik and Max Harris - and in 2009 now welcome Glen Holm-Hansen, Stephanie Thompson and Mark Tushingham to the ASD Committee. They are all familiar faces around ASD and you can check out more about them on new Committee page. The ASD Committee is still looking for another teacher to come on board so if you are interested or want to know more about being involved with ASD please don't hesitate to contact us.
You will immediately notice that the website has had a significant upgrade over the holidays - thanks to the handiwork of Committee member, Brad Ward! The improved website should be more intuitive to navigate and already contains important information for the 2009 season. The calendar, entry form and structure pages will be particularly useful for those wishing to re-familiarize themselves with the format and get prepared for this year.
We will be sending out an information pack and an email to all teachers in mid-January advising them of changes that have been made to the competition and a handbook for coaching. All information, including our updated rules, are available on this site. We will continue to add to the site as new information, such as host school venues, comes to hand.
